Sam’s and Allen’s Baby Reveal and Engagement

Saturday began early for me at 6:30 a.m. Today was my youngest sister Sam’s baby reveal party, and Luisa and I were both excited to take part in the celebration.

I started the morning with a weight training session at home using the Total Gym machine. It felt good to get some exercise in before the day’s festivities began. Afterwards, I prepared a simple breakfast of rotisserie chicken and tortillas.

Around noon, Luisa woke up and began working on the table decorations for the party. She put together some beautiful arrangements consisting of blue vases with small signs mounted on sticks that read “Baby Santos.” Once everything was assembled, the vases were filled with pink and blue flowers, giving the decorations a festive and colorful look.

Later in the afternoon, we drove to Sweet Mandy B’s Bakery on Webster Avenue to pick up the cake for the celebration. After returning home, we changed clothes and headed out again, leaving for the party around 3:15 p.m.

The celebration was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The family had rented the hall located in the school building. When we arrived, the space was already partially arranged with tables and chairs. Allen and his brother Justin had gotten there early and had begun organizing the setup.

It was the first time I had met Allen’s brother Justin. We greeted each other warmly, and he immediately struck me as a friendly and easygoing guy. Justin and I worked together to cover the tables with the party tablecloths.

Another early arrival helping with the setup was our DJ, Robert “Fluke” Aguilar. Fluke had already begun arranging his equipment—a mixer, a MacBook, a microphone, and a loudspeaker monitor. By the time we walked in, he already had music playing, setting a lively tone for the celebration to come.
